Howdy, I am a Jacob Hopkins. I am a Ph.D. student in the Geospatial Computer Science program at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi. I am working under the supervision of Dr. Carlos Rubio-Medrano in the CyberSecurity Innovation and Research Laboratory (CSRIL).

My Research Interests are Usable Privacy, Access Control Systems, and Credential Verification Systems.

Aug 17, 2024 I attended SOUPS 2024 and Usenix Security 2024 this past week. I had a blast. I meet many wonderful researchers. I learned a lot from the presentations. I also had the pleasure of presenting a lightning talk at SOUPS 2024. You can watch it with this link. If you want to look at slides, here is the link to that. May 15, 2024 I presented for the first time at SACMAT about my work, SecureCheck. I was very nervous going through, but I preserved and I am excited to continue with my work. I look forward to the next I present at SACMAT. Here is a [Photo] of my advisor, labmates, and I at SACMAT.
